The Chrome Hearts Precious Metals Collection Exclusively at Erker's Fine Eyewear

If you thought Chrome Hearts would shy away from the most precious metals on the planet. THINK AGAIN!!!!!

Both Silver and gold are considered precious metals which are regulated by the guidlines of the Federal Trade Commission. Gold processes must also comply with the rules set forth by the FTC

Pure Silver is too soft for most uses. so it is mixed with alloys for added strength and durability. Most of the Chrome Hearts decors are made of cast .925 sterling silver, which is 92.5% silver and 7.5% base metal. Each piece requires intricate tooling and is made by the Chrome Hearts silversmiths individually using the lost wax casting method.

In this ancient process dating back hundreds of years, each decor or motif is cast in rough form, then polished by hand, and antiqued one piece at a time.

Fronts on Chrome Hearts 12K gold frames are gold filled in a process where high heat and pressure are used to bond a thick layer of solid gold to a base metal. The total gold content for an item classified as gold filled must equal 1/20th of teh total weight of the finished product. It is resistant to tarnishing , like solid gold, and does not flake off, rub off, or change colors. Gold filled products have long term wear durability without the added weight of solid gold.

Just another incredible addition to the Chrome Hearts collection, some of the most luxurious metals in the world and some of the best ideas in the world incorporated on eyewear. Chrome Hearts a cut above the rest found exclusively in St. Louis at Erkers in Ladue. By far one of the most stunning collections ever created.
