Italian Eye Exhibit At Grand Central Station in New York City!!!



EYEWEAR FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!
At Grand Central Station in New York City was an exhibit on the history of eyeglasses from their invention in Italy to the latest trends.
Eye glasses were invented in 1204 invented by Salvino D'Armate is credited with inventing the first known wearable eyewear. Over the next 800 years eyewear has gone through many revolutionary changes. Styles have changed immensly and have become a staple in ever changing fashion world. Eyewear from the past 800 years is on display at the Italian Eye Exhibit in New York City at Grand Central Station.
Jack Erker, Tony Erker and Giovanni Vitaloni with Derapage from Italy were checking out the exhibit in New York.



From old real tortoise shell frames (now illegal to sell) to the most up to date eyewear that all the celebrities wear today were at the exhibit. Below is a picture of a pair of frames Elton John wore in the 1970's.
